Reviews and Feedback
The purpose of this DVD is to help the Deaf community gain access to important health information and exercises where they have previously been overlooked. It is therefore exceptional news for us when Sign Health agree to promote the DVD and RNID publish the review below, but it is the best news of all when a Deaf viewer (who wishes to remain anonymous) writes to us with feedback that confirms we have succeeded in providing help managing stress where it is most needed.
“I bought Stress & Relaxation BSL DVD two days ago from you and I would like to say this DVD giving me fully understand what Stress mean and how to do relaxation cos I have always want something in BSL DVD so I would say well done for all your hard work and this benefit to me 100% with stress control because in the past no DVD or video in BSL and it was very hard to cope with life in stress but now I can sit back and watch this DVD and make me feel so great at the end. RNID - One In Seven
The latest edition of the RNID One In Seven magazine contains a review of our Stress and Relaxation British Sign Language DVD.
We are happy to report that the review is very positive and that the reviewer appreciated the effort that has gone into making the information and exercises clear and easy to understand. It was always our intention explain what stress is and how an individual can manage stress and improve wellbeing by following simple relaxation exercises. It is very gratifying to read that we have achieved our aim.
The full transcript of the review is as follows:
Living in a hearing world can be stressful for deaf people. Relaxation audiotapes or CDs are not accessible to deaf people. This new DVD, presented in British Sign Language (BSL) and with optional subtitles, tells you how to manage stress. The DVD explains what stress is, what causes it, and what impact it has on the body and mind. It offers a range of relaxation and breathing techniques to suit different people. They are well-explained and easy to follow. Most people should be able to do the exercises on their own after watching it a couple of times. Then you only need to watch the DVD to check that you are doing the exercises right or if you want to try something different.
