RNID Review Stress DVD

The latest edition of the RNID One In Seven magazine has given a glowing review to our Stress and Relaxation British Sign Language DVD.

We are really happy to report that the One in Seven review is very positive and that the reviewer appreciated the effort that has gone into making the information and exercises clear and easy to understand. It was always our intention explain what stress is and how an individual can manage stress and improve wellbeing by following simple relaxation exercises. It is very satisfying to read that we have achieved our aim.

We have set up a special web site for you to find out more about the DVD and how to purchase it. Please go to http://www.eyegaze.tv/health.

The full transcript of the review is as follows:

Living in a hearing world can be stressful for deaf people. Relaxation audiotapes or CDs are not accessible to deaf people. This new DVD, presented in British Sign Language (BSL) and with optional subtitles, tells you how to manage stress. The DVD explains what stress is, what causes it, and what impact it has on the body and mind. It offers a range of relaxation and breathing techniques to suit different people. They are well-explained and easy to follow. Most people should be able to do the exercises on their own after watching it a couple of times. Then you only need to watch the DVD to check that you are doing the exercises right or if you want to try something different.
